Introducing the Caregiver Network
In development

Bring the people
behind the care
into the benefit.

Your care provider already has the bill. Parents shouldn’t have to do the paperwork twice.

We’re building a way for daycare and aftercare providers to submit documentation directly, help parents use their dependent care benefit, and receive a year-end donation that supports their work.

A home for the people providing care.

The planned caregiver workspace brings linked parents, submitted care bills, and year-end donation tracking together. Providers will be able to handle routine documentation for participating families and track donations funded by DependentCares from its administration fee.

  • Connect parents and submit care bills
  • Track giving from actual reimbursements

The DependentCares difference

Administration that includes
the people providing care.

Our vision goes beyond processing receipts: connect the source of the care bill to the benefit, reduce repeated paperwork, and share a portion of our administration revenue with participating providers.

For parents

One less recurring task.

Once the account link and required authorization are in place, the provider handles routine bill submission. Parents can follow the claim without uploading the same documentation themselves.

For care providers

Help families. Support your program.

Help families use their benefit and submit their care bills through DependentCares. Participating providers receive a year-end donation equal to 1% of their claims actually reimbursed, funded by DependentCares.

For employers

Connect your benefit to your community.

Pay a flat 3% of employee deferrals. DependentCares funds the provider donation from that fee, so network participation adds no charge to your organization.

How it will work

From care bill
to reimbursement.

Provider submission simplifies the paperwork. It keeps claim review and contribution limits in the process.

  1. Invite the care provider

A DependentCares administrator creates the caregiver record and invites the provider to its portal.

  2. Connect enrolled parents

The provider adds parents and links them to verified participants in their employer’s DCA plan, with the required authorization in place.

  3. Submit care bills directly

The provider submits daycare or aftercare bills for care already provided, with itemized charges, service dates, and supporting documentation for claim review.

  4. Review, then reimburse

Claims remain subject to plan rules and administrator review. Approved claims are reimbursed only from available posted contributions, with the unpaid balance paid in installments as contributions arrive.

  5. Give back at year end

DependentCares pays a year-end donation equal to 1% of claims actually reimbursed for participating providers who submit bills through the platform. We fund it from our 3% administration fee.

A clear commitment to giving back

1% of reimbursements.
Back to care.

The donation is based on amounts actually reimbursed for care bills submitted by participating providers through DependentCares. Approved claims that have not been paid do not count. If a claim is paid in installments, only the installments actually paid count.

DependentCares funds the donation from its flat 3% administration fee on employee deferrals. Employers pay no additional network charge, and it does not reduce the parent’s reimbursement. A $1,000 reimbursement for a participating provider’s submitted claim earns that provider $10 at year end.

A few things to know.

Is the caregiver portal available today?

The Caregiver Network and provider portal are in development. We’re speaking with employers and care providers about the planned experience. Contact us to discuss participation and timing.

Does a parent still need to be enrolled in a DCA plan?

Yes. The provider must be linked to a verified participant in an employer’s dependent care assistance plan. Caregiver participation does not create plan eligibility or replace enrollment.

Will parents need to submit each bill themselves?

The planned workflow lets an authorized provider handle routine bill and documentation submission for linked parents. Initial authorization, missing information, or other exceptions may still require a parent’s involvement.

Can a claim be paid before contributions arrive?

No. Approval does not make an unfunded amount available. Reimbursements are limited to available posted contributions; the remaining approved amount is paid in installments as contributions arrive.

Which providers receive the donation?

Providers must participate in the Caregiver Network and submit care bills and supporting documentation through DependentCares for linked, enrolled parents. The donation is calculated only on those claims actually reimbursed. Joining the network alone does not generate a payment.

Who funds the 1% donation?

DependentCares funds it from its 3% administration fee. The provider receives 1% of the amount actually reimbursed for its submitted claims—not 1% of our fee revenue. Employers pay no additional charge, and parents keep their full reimbursement.
